Oh Ella!
Today Ella was not talking very nice and was not following Mommy's directions. When I told her it was time for bed she said (in a very snotty voice) "I'm NOT going to bed you old lady". For some reason she thinks "old lady" is about the worst insult she can give me. I told her that the Easter Bunny was supposed to come tonight, but he probably wouldn't come if he heard a little girl not talking nice to her mother. She said (very sweetly) "Oh, well 'old lady' just means 'mother' in Spanish". Oh really?

Egging the Neighbors

The kids and I had fun "egging" the neighbors. We printed off the "you've been egged" sign and filled some plastic eggs. Then we taped the sign to the neighbors' doors, hid some eggs around the yard, rang the doorbell, and ran home like crazy people. I don't know who laughed more, the kids or me.
I also "egged" some teachers and staff at work by putting the sign on their desks and hiding the eggs around their rooms. It was funny to hear people try to guess who did it.

Little Ladies
A few days ago, Noah found a ladybug outside and asked if he could keep it as a pet. I said he could, as long as he kept it outside. He and Ella made an elaborate little home for the bug, which they creatively named "Lady".
Later in the day we saw another ladybug (I don't think they are actually ladybugs, I think they are those crazy orange asian beatles that are all over the house) and Ella was so excited that Lady found her way into our house! Lady is so smart!
Yesterday I found another one in the downstairs bathroom. I looked around to make sure the kids weren't looking and then I flushed it down the toilet. Ella appeared out of nowhere (that kid could be in the CIA) and said "Mom! What did you do to Lady??!?!!" I told her that Lady likes to go swimming, so I was just giving her a little ride. Like a waterslide.
Today Ella was looking at something in our upstairs bathroom window. She said, "Mom! I found Noah's pet!" Again, she was so excited and surprised that Lady made her way all the way upstairs and that she survived the "toilet ride". That Lady really gets around.

Happy Birthday Noah!!
Noah had a super fun 7th birthday! He is currently obsessed with Pokemon, so I attempted to make a Pikachu cake.
He celebrated with his friends at San Mai Tae Kwon Do Academy and they had such a fun time. They got to do an obstacle course, have duels, learn some "moves", break a pinata, and Noah got to cut his own cake with a Samurai sword. He never stopped smiling the entire time.
