Minnesota Trip

Noah and my cousin's son, Caleb. Love those toothless grins!
Digging for seashells on the beach at my Aunt and Uncle's house.

Swimming at the hotel pool.

I love this picture! My Grandma is 93 years old and looks amazing! My mom and the kids and I went up to visit her and got. to see some other family while we were there. The kids did amazingly well in the car on the 7 and 1/2 hour drive there and back. Thank goodness for movies in the car! They had a fun time swimming at the hotel and in the lake. All in all, it was a very good trip

Toothless

Noah finally lost one of his top front teeth. He's lost a few bottom teeth, but those two top ones had been loose for a long time. The one he lost was to the point that he could push it all the way back and it was really disgusting. Seth finally talked him into letting Seth pull it out on Wednesday night since we were leaving for Minnesota the next morning. We told him that the Tooth Fairy may not know where to find him in the hotel. Seth pulled it right out and now the poor little man has a hole in his mouth- and a lisp! But the TF brought him $2.00 for that silly tooth. The going rate for teeth these days is ridiculous! I remember being so excited about a quarter when I lost a tooth.

July 4th and other events

Ella and Seth picked out her 4th of July outfit at Kohl's and I think they did a super job. So cute! And Ella LOVES it! She is such a diva about her clothes. I've finally learned to just let her pick them out so I know she will wear them.

We went with with my parents to the free concert at Memorial Park and heard Foreigner, Kansas, and Styx. It was so fun! The kids did so much better than I expected and the fireworks were amazing.

On July 3rd we had our families over and Seth grilled out hamburgers, hotdogs, and bratwursts. We set up the inflatable waterslide and did some fireworks in front of the house which the kids loved. The only downside to the day was the 4 foot fall I had when I fell off the waterslide when I was on it trying to fix the sprayers and landed on my head. I'm too old for such antics. Luckily, I was not seriously injured.
Speaking of injuries, poor Noah had a massive fall on his scooter and scraped up his face and knee. Poor guy!
Tonight was the end of the season party for Noah and Seth's baseball team at Bounce U. The kids got to bounce for an hour and then got pizza and trophies. Seth had a fun time coaching the team and it was a good group of kids and parents. Even though he was kind of roped into coaching, he enjoyed it and is going to do it again next year.

I ♥ Summer!

I am seriously loving our summer! We had our typical 2 week period at the beginning of summer where we struggled with getting into a routine, but we soon got there and I love everything about summer. I feel so blessed that I have the time off to spend with the kiddos. This summer we got a season pass to the City of Omaha pools and have been going to the new Zorinsky water park nearly every day. The kids LOVE it! Noah is getting so good at swimming- so much better than he ever did in swimming lessons, and Ella loves going down the little water slides. Over and over and over.... for 2-3 hours every day! We stay until about 2:00 or 3:00 and then come home and take naps. All of us. I love our summer routine!!!!!

Every night after the kids are in bed I have been going for a walk in the neighborhood. I so love that time to myself with my ipod. Tomorrow I have to go to school for a few hours to meet with some students. I am so dreading getting up and having to shower and wear real clothes instead of my staple shorts, tank tops, and flip flops. Luckily it's only for one day and then I can enjoy the rest of the summer.
