Enjoying every moment.... or not
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/glennon-melton/dont-carpe-diem_b_1206346.html?ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false
I LOVED this article! It made me feel validated for all of those moments when I've been counting down the minutes until bedtime. Maybe I'm not such a terrible mom after all. It also makes me appreciate all those moments that are special and that take my breath away and makes me appreciate all that I have and all that my children are and will become.
Even when I don't feel like life is perfect (like now as I'm sitting up with Ella who has the stomach flu for the 2nd time in 4 weeks), I feel better knowing that it doesn't always have to be perfect and I don't have to love every second and that I'm not the only person who feels that way.

Watching a Train Wreck
I am obsessed with watching Toddlers and Tiaras. I don't know why it is so fascinating to me.... but I cannot look away. I am ashamed to admit that I record it and watch it every week. It is like watching a train wreck, I just can't look away. It amazes me how the mothers on the show are portrayed. I wonder if they really act that way, or if it is all just for show. Some of each I'm sure. I've said this before on Facebook, but I'll say it again. I think my daughter is the most beautiful little girl in the world, but I will NEVER give her a spray tan, make her wear false eyelashes and teeth, and tell her to "sparkle".

Ode to Moms....
So what if my baby is not sleeping through the night, and my older two often argue and fight? So what if my hair is not styled or even brushed? And the kids and I leave the house very rushed? So what if my house is a clutter filled pit? And you have to move Legos and dolls just to sit? Sometimes I get my daughter to preschool late. And sometimes my diet isn't too great. Sometimes I let my kids watch too much t.v., play too much on the computer, or too much on the Wii. But I, just like all moms, am doing my best. And even though I'm not perfect, I feel very blessed. For we have all we need, we have food and a house. I have happy healthy children, and a wonderful spouse. So even though life doesn't go just as I've planned it......I'm doing the very best I can, dammit!!

God and Santa must be in cahoots.
Noah is celebrating his First Reconciliation this Saturday. He was talking about it with me a couple days ago and he said he was nervous to talk to the priest. I said "oh, you have nothing to be nervous about, you talk to Fr. Pat all the time. You just tell him a couple of your sins and then God will forgive them." After our little talk he was VERY excited about his First Reconciliation. Seth told me tonight that Noah had told him he was excited because his sins would be forgiven right before Christmas! He will be on Santa's nice list for sure!! What perfect timing!!
