Noah LOVES to read! It's amazing how quickly his reading has taken off this year. When this video was taken he was into reading a children's Bible that he got from church. He read that thing from cover to cover twice. Now, he's into reading the Magic Treehouse Series, Horrible Harry, Geronimo Stilton, and just finished Diary of a Wimpy Kid (not very appropriate for a 6 year old we found out later when Noah asked us "what is a moron?" "why would somebody think a butt is cute?" "why do boys like girls to be hot?" "what is a dirty magazine?" Oh dear.)
Not too long ago Seth and I used to try to be the one to put Ella to bed because her books were so much easier to read than the chapter books, dinosaur books, and non-fiction books that Noah was into. But now Noah just wants to read to himself and is excited that he figured out how to read in his head. He just wants someone to lay by him, so, when I am lucky enough to have a turn, I bring a book of my own and we lay in his bed for 1/2 hour or so and read our books. Love it!
